On December 19th, the Fourth Wenzhou Charity Conference was held by the Wenzhou Municipal Committee and Municipal Government. ZHANG Zhenfeng, Secretary of the Wenzhou Municipal Committee, attended the meeting. The conference features the fourth annual “Wenzhou Charity Award". The Affiliated Kangning Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University was the recipient of the Award for Charity Initiatives for its "Advocacy for the Soul Charity Initiative”.

Program Overview

Advocacy for the Soul Charity Initiative is one of the key initiatives developed by Kangning Hospital. Leveraging the hospital's IT and research & development advantages and empowered its mental health and geriatric medicine resources, this program aims to provide comprehensive "advocacy for the soul" services for the general population across the lifespan.

The program features the focus on "Four Ones" services:

ONE Emergency Response Team: A team with a hundred psychological crisis intervention specialists was formed and scheduled for 24-7 on-call, ready to provide mental health support services to citizens around the clock.

ONE Service Hotline: The "400-800-9585" mental health hotline was started, offering 24-7 mental health services.

ONE Smart Platform: a self-developed platform with interactive functions for mental health services, "Digital Mental Health Clinic" is placed in schools and communities, providing access for 24-7 mental health services.

ONE charity team: The team offers annual initiatives including Tibet-Assistance and Sichuan-Assistance, and Eastern & Western Regions Collaboration Aid programs. It provides intellectual and technical support for regions with scarce mental health resources. Every year, the team conducts about a hundred mental health training sessions to promote mental health literacy to the public.

Looking forward, Kangning aims to work even more closely with other parties, engage even further in charity course, practice its social responsibilities, and contribute its part to the city’s mission to create "A Wenzhou with Great Love, A World with Goodwill ".
