On November 10th, the World Young Scientist Summit Sub-Forum, the 11th Kangning International Forum on Psychiatry, jointly organized by the Affiliated Kangning Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University, Oujiang Laboratory, and the School of Mental Health of Wenzhou Medical University, was successfully held.
More than 300 mental health experts and scholars attended the event, including Changqun Huang, Deputy Director of the National Center for Mental Health; Xiaokung Li, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Wenzhou Medical University; Weihong Song, Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and Vice President of Wenzhou Medical University for Academic Affairs; Fang Liu, Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences; Andrew Greenough, Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts; Joseph Tak-fai Lau, Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom; and Weimo Zhu, Fellow of the National Academy of Kinesiology.
Focusing on the current hot topics in mental health and societal concerns, the annual Kangning International Forum on Psychiatry has been successfully held for the past ten years. This year’s forum brought together experts, scholars, clinical practitioners, and researchers to explore and share the cutting-edge advancements in research and clinical practices in mental health, as well as the development of mental health services across lifespan. The content is rich and hold significant importance.
The event also hosted the opening ceremony for several prestigious establishments for Wenzhou Kangning Hospital: the National Advanced Center for Cognitive Disorders, the Center for Psychosomatic Integrative Medicine, the Pilot Site for “The Provincial Brain Health and Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment Demonstration Center for Cognitive Disorders”, and the Public Mental Health Center of Wenzhou Medical University.
